Grilled Candied Bacon and Egg Bread Bowl Recipe

We’re digging this AmazingRibs.com recipe because it’s a nice mix of hearty grill grub and something unique. Plus, what’s not to love: bacon, eggs, cheese and bread. Using a charcoal grill, even a mini one at the tailgate, gives it a nice smokey flavor and enhances the taste of our eggs.

The trickiest part is hollowing out the rolls so they remain, in fact, a bowl. Think of it like attempting twice-baked potatoes. Sometimes you just end up with a shredded skin. So overcompensate when purchasing the kaiser rolls.

Grilled Scotch Eggs

Perfect for a late brunch or even as an appetizer, scotch eggs are hard to not like. The savory sausage shell and soft egg center are an unbeatable combo. Add your favorite dipping sauce (the spicer the better) and you won’t be disappointed. It’s also a personal favorite of ours because you get to use Farmer Boy Eggs twice. Yes, you coat eggs in eggs.

We really dig Bon Appétit’s recipe, except for the fact that it’s in the deep fryer instead of on the grill! Let’s be honest, no one is going to decline fried food, but people do decline cleaning up after the frying process. We like to save the frying to the professionals who have their own kitchens!

Follow this recipe step-by-step until you get to the frying. Instead, prepare your grill for two-zone cooking. Feel free to toss some wood chips on the charcoal side (or use a smoker box). Drop the eggs on the cool side and let them crackle away until the sausage is cooked through and they’ve started to crust over. It should be about 30 minutes until deliciousness.

Pepper Egg-in-a-Hole

Here’s another one where we are going to start with a fabulous recipe and just mix it up at the end to include the grill. This Delish dish includes bell peppers, cheddar cheese, bacon, parsley and … Farmer Boy Eggs!

What we love is the simplicity: after stuffing the pepper with bacon and cheese you just crack the egg on top and voila. Replace the pepper lids, fire up the grill to about 350 and cook them for 20 minutes. It will be one of the best appetizers you’ve ever had!

Get grilling!
