If you were to drive across the state of Montana, from east to west, it would take you right around 10 hours. Baker, Montana

Far on the eastern border of Montana, in the small town of Baker, you will find one of the best spots for a delicious bar hamburger. With no website, you might be hesitant to stop here for a bite, but online reviews tell a story of happy customers and delicious food. While you’re there, give their Pizza Burger a shot!

Blackiron Grill & Rotisserie

Miles City, Montana

About an hour from Baker, Montana, Miles City is home to the Blackiron Grill &  Rotisserie, a sports bar and high-quality restaurant. With a large menu that even the pickiest eater can choose something from, the burgers are the real draw. While you’re eating in Miles City, give the Bleu Burger a try! 

Stacked, A Montana Grill

Billings, Montana

When you make your way into Central Montana, stop at Stacked, A Montana Grill for a nice sit down meal and award-winning burgers. This restaurant has a fresh, ever changing menu, but you can be sure that whatever you try will hit the spot. Try out their Zoom Burger, named after Zoo Montana, their award-winning burger topped with fried green tomatoes, goat cheese, honey and other unexpected yet delicious toppings. 

The Burger Dive

Billings, Montana

Even though we just recommended Stacked, we can’t leave Billings without recommending another award winning burger joint, The Burger Dive. Home to delicious, unique burgers, The Burger Dive has been featured on multiple TV shows such as “Man vs. Food,” and won the World Food Championships in 2016. While there, try The “I’m Your Huckleberry” Burger, the award-winning burger topped with Huckleberry Hatch chilli barbeque sauce and many other delicious toppings. 

Backcountry Burger Bar

Bozeman, Montana

As we continue to head west across Montana, we now enter Bozeman, home to the Backcountry Burger Bar. Consistently using locally raised and sourced ingredients, their beef and bison burgers are delicious. While there, opt for a bison Wildfire burger if you’re in the mood for something spicy.

Parker’s Restaurant

Drummond, Montana

Located in Drummond, Montana, another great burger stop without a website but with the reviews to prove it is Parker’s Restaurant. They have over 90 burger options with fresh, unique toppings. If you have a hard time deciding which burger to try, go with the Popcorn Shrimp Burger for a very unique experience.

Montana Club

Missoula, Montana

Once you make it all the way west to the city of Missoula, stop by the “Mo” Club for a delicious, cooked-to-order burger. Basically the only item on the menu, you can order your burger with one, two or three patties and a variety of toppings. Add a cold beer, and you’re set.
