“People add water, they add milk, they add cream, but I find if you have really good eggs, you don’t need anything at all.” - Martha Stewart

When it comes to raising chickens, we keep things pretty simple. We believe that oftentimes the simplest option is the best option. It’s one of the many reasons we don’t cage our animals, we don’t use antibiotics and when we cook with our eggs, we don’t need to add a bunch of fancy ingredients. We hear time and time again about how exceptional our eggs perform in the kitchen and how remarkable they taste. We wanted to share some videos of your favorite television chefs cooking a dish that we all cherish: the classic scrambled egg!

Here are a few videos we came across we found particularly fun:

Gordon Ramsey

You may not want to invite him over to your house for dinner, but if he’s gonna cook for you, it might not be a bad idea. From a guy that can cook anything from any country in the world: it’s pretty fun to see him tackle an every-day dish like the scrambled egg.

“Every time we get a new cook in the kitchen, we ask them to cook scrambled eggs. Because if they can cook a good scrambled egg, we know they can cook properly.”

Ina Garten

“Half and half adds that little bit of je ne sais quoi”

The barefoot contessa strikes again! There’s something about a home-cooked meal that brings people together, and it seems like Ina Garten is a pro at taking the stress out of doing exactly that. Watching her videos it’s like she’s in your kitchen with you! Here’s her take on the scrambled egg.

Martha Stewart

“I find the secret to fluff scrambled eggs is low heat and constant stirring.”

Martha Steward has the simplest scrambled egg recipe on the list. No truffle butter, no creme fraiche: just delicious scrambled eggs! Had we been around in 2013, we most definitely would have hooked her and her team up with some Farmer Boy Eggs. Do you ever wonder what the eggs behind bars were like for Martha?

Curtis Stone

“If you want to add mayonnaise to your scrambled eggs, it might add a zesty kind of flavor.”

Curtis Stone walks his scrambled egg recipe. He talks about avoiding the dried out scrambled egg.

Anthony Bourdain

“I’m old school, I believe that a scrambled egg is principally about the egg!”

We can get into that here at Farmer Boy eggs. We always enjoyed Anthony Bourdain’s honest look at life, liberty and in this case, the pursuit of the simple yet delicious scrambled egg.

Ultimately, most every video above talks about the quality of the egg and the freshness of the egg. That’s music to our ears as we’re consistently getting five stars for the quality and taste of our eggs.
